Over the years we've developed several in-house utilities to make our lives easier. As much to demonstrate MicroCrest's pedigree as anything else, a couple of these utilities are included here. For personal users, we're distributing these utilities as freeware, so you can freely use and copy the utilities.

The Taskbar Application Launcher is great for being able to run a screenful of applications, and yet to retain access to your favourite applications by allowing you to place their icon in your taskbar. Double-click the icon, and you're away!

The NT Event Log writer was developed some time ago, its just a COM object with a straightforward interface, which writes information into the Windows NT Event Log. Although quite an old utility, this library nevertheless is very useful for full-speed debugging.

New Features in Version 1.10

In addition to these features, the improved Version 1.10 also offers the following:

  • choose your own taskbar icon from any file on your computer
  • choose your own starting folder, from which to launch the program
  • specify any command line parameters you want to use to start the program
  • specify what type of window you want your application to be launched in

Taskbar Application Launcher Licensing

For personal users, you may treat the Taskbar Application Launcher as freeware. You can use and duplicate the software as much as you like. However if you do duplicate the software, you must do so in its complete and unamended form.

For business users, the program may be used without fee for up to 30 days for the purpose of evaluation.

If you use it thereafter, that use is subject to a license agreement, costing either USD19.95 or GBP14.95 for a single user license.
